Celebrating Egnyte Poland’s New Office and 2nd Anniversary

Last Friday on February 6, our Egnyte Poland Team hosted a fantastic celebration! Our team celebrated its new office space, which opened in early January of this year.Egnyte Poland began as an experiment in December 2012 with three people and no office. In April of last year, the team took over an office space to house its team of 46 employees. With this growth rate (now up to 50 employees in December), there was a need to adopt additional office space. At the moment Poland is the biggest overseas office of Egnyte - with expertise in JavaScript, Java, Python, QA, DevOps, Data Engineering, UX and last but not least IT Support. With this mix of developers, the Poland office has become a very important part of Egnyte’s development talent. In addition to the Office Launch Party and its growth to 50 employees, Egnyte Poland also celebrated its 2nd anniversary of being established. Among the distinguished guests were our employees and their families, the Mayor of Poznan where Egnyte Poland is located, representatives from our City Hall, representatives from local businesses and Poznan’s programming communities such as PyLadies, AKAI, PJUG, Meet.js and CHI.The celebration began with a speech from Egnyte Poland’s Managing Director, Piotr Maliński, who thanked everyone involved in the development of the Poland office including the construction team which helped Egnyte convert the previous industrial building into their modern office space. On behalf of the City Hall, a speech was also given by the Director of the Investor Relations Department who congratulated the team on the fast growth in the past year. As a special guest directly from London, Ian McEwan, Egnyte’s Vice President & General Manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa, spoke about Egnyte’s expansion plans in Europe. Invited guests also had a chance to watch a pre-recorded message from Egnyte’s CEO Vineet Jain who emphasized that as Egnyte continues to build out its company, Team Poznan will be essential to that growth. Mr. Jain is very proud of what the team has built and is privileged to work with these dedicated employees.Apart from official speeches, the celebration also featured a Poland team promotional movie. As it turns out, Egnyte Poland is not only talented in Developers but also dancers. With live music, the team also entertained guests with a dance routine that they had prepared. The party was a huge success and lasted until the early hours. What should be emphasized - Egnyte Poland will continue its growth in 2015 by hiring world-class specialists in the IT area. It’s one of the crucial tasks for the team to hire and to retain top talent.
